Jim McKinney opened Brightway, The McKinney Agency, in 2022. As a native Floridian, Jim brings a strong understanding of the Florida insurance landscape and a practical, detail-driven approach shaped by his background in the mortgage industry.

He works closely with homeowners, realtors, mortgage professionals, and financial advisors to help clients make informed decisions and structure coverage that fits their needs and budget.

 

Outside of work, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife, Jessica, and daughter, Selah, staying active, working out, and grilling.

Patrick began his career in the mortgage industry in 2009 and has held multiple roles including processor, underwriter, underwriting team lead, and loan originator. This background gives him a strong understanding of the home buying process and the insurance requirements that often come with it. His experience working closely with lenders, real estate professionals, and homeowners allows him to guide clients through insurance decisions with clarity and practical insight.

Originally born in Germany while his mother was serving in the U.S. Army, Patrick considers Tallahassee his hometown because that is where his family is. He moved to Orlando in 2008 to attend Universal Technical Institute, earning his degree there in 2009. He has been a homeowner since 2014 and understands firsthand the importance of protecting what matters most.

Outside of work, Patrick loves animals, enjoys traveling, spending time at the beach, and following sports. He is a loyal fan of Florida State University and the Golden State Warriors. He also enjoys cars, flying, and hopes to pursue both a pilot’s license and helicopter license in the future.

Patrick is passionate about helping clients protect their homes, vehicles, and families while making the insurance process straightforward and easy to understand.
