Max Staplin

Max first joined Brightway in January 2019 as its In-House Counsel before becoming General Counsel in 2020. Prior to that, he was Brightway's outside franchise attorney while working for the leading franchise law firm, Fisher Zucker LLC in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He briefly returned to Fisher Zucker in the summer of 2023 before returning to his role at Brightway in October of 2024. During his time at Fisher Zucker, he worked with over 100 other franchise systems in a wide variety of industries and presented at the International Franchise Association’s Legal Symposium on multiple occasions. Max holds his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School and earned his bachelor’s in economics from Penn State University.
