Jonathan Strausser is a veteran, entrepreneur, and restoration industry leader dedicated to serving his community through integrity, resilience, and service. Born and raised in Collierville, Jonathan graduated from Collierville High School in 2003 before answering the call to serve his country.
In 2005, Jonathan joined the United States Navy, where he served as a Military Police Officer and K-9 Handler specializing in explosive detection and force protection operations. During his military career, he completed assignments throughout the United States and overseas, including deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Bahrain. He served aboard the USS George Washington (CVN-73) and later as a Harbor Patrol Coxswain in Bahrain, conducting maritime security and anti-terrorism operations. His service earned him numerous commendations and awards before being honorably discharged in 2010.
Following his military service, Jonathan continued protecting others through his work with the United States Department of State, where he participated in diplomatic security operations, explosive detection programs, and protective details for senior government officials and ambassadors around the world.
Driven by a desire to help families and businesses recover from disasters, Jonathan founded American Veterans Restoration in 2018. As CEO and Director, he has built the company into a trusted restoration and reconstruction organization specializing in water damage mitigation, fire damage restoration, mold remediation, biohazard cleanup, and full-service reconstruction. Under his leadership, the company has expanded while maintaining a mission centered on service, professionalism, and putting customers first during some of the most difficult times of their lives.
Jonathan is passionate about mentoring others, developing future leaders, and creating opportunities for fellow veterans. His leadership philosophy is rooted in the values he learned through military service—honor, accountability, perseverance, and commitment to excellence.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jonathan is a devoted husband to his wife, Katie, and a proud father. His faith, family, and commitment to serving others remain the foundation of everything he does. Whether helping a family recover after a disaster, leading a team through a challenging project, or supporting his community, Jonathan strives to make a positive and lasting impact on those around him.
