Meet Your Dimitri J. Apostle Agency Brightway Insurance Team

With over 22 years of insurance experience, Dimitri brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. After attending Valparaiso University just outside of Chicago, he began his insurance career working for his father – who was in the insurance business for over 40 years.

Dimitri believes in giving back to the community that supports him and his family. One of the many ways he does this is through an annual gift to the Charlotte Rescue Mission.

Married for nearly 20 years, Dimitri and his wife Aubrey have two boys and reside in Weddington, N.C. Dimitri has played soccer overseas, coached at almost every level, and enjoys watching his sons play.

Amy is the Director of Operations and branch manager, working with Dimitri since 2019. With many years in the industry, she is Life, Health, Commercial, and Personal Lines licensed in both NC and SC. Her role includes assisting Dimitri and the team with new quote requests, rewrites, reshops, and urgent policy requests. Amy is a native Charlottean who enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Virginia is an Underwriting Coordinator and has worked with Dimitri since 2017. She is the liaison between the clients and the carriers when underwriting issues arise. She also coordinates with lenders and closing firms, to be sure the insurance documents stay up to date for client's closings, and that their payments make it to the carriers on time. Virginia and her husband live on a small ranch style property in the foothills of NC. They have 3 children and enjoy boating and traveling in their spare time.

Bob works with our referral partners to help streamline the homebuying process by providing customized home insurance quotes that address their customers specific needs. He has been worked with Dimitri since 2017. Before coming to Brightway, Bob was a PGA Golf Professional in South Florida though he is originally from Michigan where he earned a degree in Marketing from Ferris State. He now lives in South Carolina with his wife, 2 daughters, and 2 dogs. 

Lana has been in the insurance industry since 2016 and working with Dimitri since 2020. Lana supports Dimitri, Amy and the rest of the team with overflow of reshops, new business and everything in between. Outside of work she loves to read, spend time with her kids and really enjoys different outdoor activities like going to the beach, mountains or simply on nature walks.

Daniel has been in the insurance industry since 2013, working with Dimitri since 2021. Daniel handles much of the reshop request from clients, always trying to find the best deal for them based on the market. He is bilingual and able to assist all of our Spanish-speaking clients.

Jenn is a Processing Manager and has worked for Dimitri since 2021. She processes all the outgoing documents sent to the clients and enters client information along with their policies into the Brightway system. She delegates the influx of client requests to the proper department or agent for timely responses and she helps with any customer service issues for new policies. Jenn and her husband Mark retired from emergency medicine careers in NY and now have a farm with a large chicken flock for eggs, garden and country shop in the foothills of NC. They sell eggs, plants, vegetables, fruits, herbs, handcrafted soaps, candles and art from a small shop right on their property.

Peter has been in the insurance industry for over 40 years working primarily with the Michigan Farm Bureau and with Dimitri since 2013. His day-to-day involves helping and advising clients with all of their insurance needs. He also coaches boys soccer at Marvin Middle School. In his free time, Peter loves hiking, biking, sailing and traveling. He moved to the US from Greece when he was 15.

Michelle is an Agent and has worked with Dimitri since 2023. She assists Dimitri with new quotes, rewriting, and re-shopping of requests. Before coming to Brightway, she spent 12 years in the mortgage industry as a processor and non-conventional underwriter. Michelle is a native of the Charlotte area, where she still resides with her husband. They have 2 children and enjoy horseback riding and traveling in their spare time.

Crystal is an insurance processor and also provides customer service for our clients. She has worked with Dimitri since 2023. Originally from New York, Crystal and her family have lived in Waxhaw since 2019. She has been married for 28 years and has 2 daughters. 

Nicole has been with the team since 2023. Originally from the Pittsburgh area - big Steelers fan - Nicole relocated over 20 years ago to the Charlotte area. She has been an insurance agent/producer since 2013 and is proud to be a part of a team that genuinely cares about meeting their clients’ needs. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys crafting and spending time with her children. She also loves the beach and warm weather!

Nick recently joined the team in the summer of 2024. He has lived in North Carolina since 1996. He is a huge Philadelphia sports fan. In his free time, he can be found either watching a game, going to a concert or rock climbing. He has been in the Insurance industry since 2009 as an agent and loves working with lenders and realtors to help protect new clients who have found the home of their dreams. He has long heard about the great work that the Apostle team does in this industry and is excited to grow with us as we serve the Carolinas.
