Meet Your Murphy Agency Brightway Insurance Team

My family immigrated from the Philippines to the United States and settled in New Jersey in 1974. We moved to Florida in 1989 and have loved it here in South Florida. I am a wife,  a mother of three beautiful children and a grandmother to three precious granddaughters. I am very very close to my family and consider my sister and brother my best friends.

I was the Marketing/Admissions Director in the health care industry when I met Brian. He was my Allstate insurance agent. After our first son was born in 2000, I discovered my passion for insurance. We did very well but became very frustrated on the limits of our insurance markets and restrictions on what we could do to help our clients. We followed our passions and ideals and became Brightway Insurance, The Murphy Agency in 2010. 

We love being Brightway Insurance agency owners. We are in a position to impact so many people’s lives in such a positive way here in South Florida. Having the Florida market to choose from and finding the right insurance fit for our clients is my passion. 

For the last 12 years our weekends have been invested in soccer fields around Florida and throughout the United States. We made it a point to be with our children and assist other kids in our soccer world. It has been a great run.

After getting their start in insurance in 1990, Rhoda and Brian have experienced major hurricanes and the challenges people face when they need an insurance policy to cover their losses. During their careers, they have built impressive resumes in the Property and Casualty insurance business. Together they have over 40 years of South Florida insurance experience. 

As residents of the Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter area, they are proud to live in the community they insure. They have the privilege of being very involved in their local community. They are often seen volunteering at nonprofit organizations and at their sons’ weekly practices and soccer games.

Rhoda is also fluent in English and Tagalog.
